About the Author

Ian Campbell was born in Johanessburg and spent 4 years in the Navy aboard various warships. His later experiences include TV broadcasting, Sales and Marketing, caring for pre-teens in a high-rise slum, restaurant management and minister of a church. He has been a radio DJ, raced Porsches, abseiled with disadvantaged teenagers and now runs an insurance paramedical company. His love for writing started early with him winning most high school writing competitions. Later he wrote a song that was published in Motown(Chicago) and began assimilating volumous facts on warfare, nuclear physics and genetics. The Fifth Cylinder is his first novel. He says" Inspiration for this book came from my favourite authors like Clive Cussler, Tom Clancey, Dale Brown, Andrew Greeley and Payne Harrisson. Their passion coupled with terrifying advances in eugenics resulted in this story from tomorrows newspaper headlines."
