When Detective Tom Cavanaugh finds himself the prime suspect in a series of brutal murders on Staten Island, he impulsively leaves New York for Havana, Cuba with his girl friend to find his half-brother, Jesuit priest Jack Bennis, who he believes correctly is also in serious trouble. While the hunt for the New York killer, who mutilates his victims, pours maple syrup over them and leaves nursery rhymes intensifies, Cavanaugh and Bennis fight for their lives in Cuba as Cavanaugh’s partner tries to clear his partner and solve the mystery of the “Maple Syrup Killer.”
