About the Author
Karyn has been a volunteer for Summit Animal Rescue Association (S.A.R.A.), a NJ-based rescue group, for over 10 years. Her story sprang to life after a hungry, black, female cat appeared at dawn one cold morning, and Karyn had to find a home for yet another black cat. Karyn hopes to spotlight the problems facing homeless cats so others might help, too. Karyn resides in New Jersey with her husband and two sons. She is a musician and substitute teacher. Karyn’s aunt, Ada Pettingill, lives in Upstate NY. Now retired, Ada enjoys animals, the outdoors, drawing, and painting.
