About the Book

As a Guardian, Kendi was created to protect the human race from the Dominion, but after his negligence causes the death of his second assignment, he is sentenced in the high court of Empyrean to Earth Duty—this time as a mortal—and one last chance to fulfill his purpose. Kendi’s sentence has been carefully structured by Jah, and unbeknownst to him, it would compound and morph into a greater responsibility and greater threat than he could have ever imagined. Kendi’s inadequacy and bad attitude soon draw the attention of the Dominion army, the Angelic Host, and a pack of hostile football players, and he becomes the target of revenge from all sides. All of Kendi’s hatred and preconceived notions about the human race seem to be coming to fruition until he encounters a “glitch in the matrix,” Sarielle Breland, a selfless young woman who shatters his carefully constructed facade and ignites a host of foreign emotions that he is not prepared to handle.

About the Author

E. Genelle Edwards, human resource professional and Christian motivational speaker, has had a passion for writing and storytelling for many years. Coupled with a degree in chemistry and a minor in mathematics, she has always been analytical of both people and situations, and often asks the question, “what if”. It was in this medium—pondering the existence of guardian angels, and the possibility that one could go rogue—that her first novel, The Guardian Chronicles, was penned. Through vivid imagery and prose, the world of Kendi Belling and his home, Empyrean, come to life, as she spins a tale of battle, revenge, heartbreak, love and loss. E. Genelle lives in North Carolina with her husband and four children.
