About the Book

Near the end of a lifetime is the best time to reflect. Simple narratives accomplish David’s reflections. Free verse accounts will touch the reader’s own experiences. The reader will find himself moved by the similar loses, and with elations we sometimes overlook. The verse is a natural presentation, using words that come instantly into focus with the plan of the author. The text is at times tearful, but with natural humor we experience as we grow up. The younger reader will find the work projecting, and the mature will in turn find a path to their own past. A rewarding and pleasant way to bring up those memories we sometimes neglect and those moments we should never forget.

About the Author

Born in Central Pennsylvania during the Great Depression, David’s life was influenced by the economic and political struggles of the time. At home, politics, mechanics, and electronics were the central interests of his self-educated father. It had been the plan to make David into a physician; however, David’s interests were fashioned by his environment. Having attended several colleges, he received a BS degree, in spite of his dislike of college purpose and posture. David holds a rebellious nature toward narrow doctrine and limited points of view. Literature, history, and independent thinking contributed to his successes as well as failures, but it is his lifetime fascination with his watch-making creations that are most notable. Now, as an author, David hopes to exhibit the best of his perceptive view of life.
