About the Author

Theresa M. Sull lives in historic Hillsborough NC. She enjoys watching birds and other wildlife in her backyard along the Eno River. Theresa's doctorate in Educational Psychology, with a focus on Human Development, was earned at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Her master’s degree in Teaching Young Children with Special Needs was granted by Wheelock College in Boston. Theresa's bachelor's degree in Day Care Administration, with a methods core in Early Childhood Education, was obtained at the State University of New York in New Paltz. In thirty college courses and fifteen workshops, Theresa Sull taught parents, grandparents, college students and directors of childcare centers. Dr. Sull sees herself as a bridge connecting educational theory and research with the classrooms and family homes where children are learning while they play. Theresa published five books for adults, including Paper Chains: Links To Literacy (2010), Affirmation Discipline (2018), and Can't Wait To Communicate from Birth to Six (2019). Theresa collects children's picture books, and she wrote twelve manuscripts for young people. Seventeen Songs for Children (2012), Just Right Julia (2012), and Abby at the Beach (2014) were already published.
