About the Book
As with anyone who has owned a dog, the loss of your faithful pet is devastating. This book is a story about someone who tries to mend a broken heart by adopting a puppy. The puppy knows his master is not happy and tries deperately to cheer her up. But in the end, she reveals the reason for her sadness. In a touching and happy ending, the puppy proves that he is a dog and he can be your best friend in a way that will make your heart soar with joy.
About the Author
The Dog is the last and eleventh book in my "I Am... I can." series. With each book that I and my phenomenal illustrator, Melissa Grantham, produce we always like it better than the one before. Although, of course, we love all the books and hope the audience does too. This adventure that started in 2015 has been an exciting and rewarding project and we hope we have touched the hearts of children and adults alike.
