THE UNKNOWN DRIVER

Chapter 3 paragraph 7 Bad memories. It was six months after Bradley got saved, that he went on a five-day prayer and fasting to forgive his fiancé, and to take the iniquity out of his heart. The memories of loving her is coming back to him even though it was five years ago it felt like yesterday. He remembers the joyful times that they had together. His fiancée came from a God-fearing, loving family who Bradley had the opportunity to meet. Before they planned their wedding. Her parents loves him, and he loves her parents. They knew that Bradley was the one for their daughter. Then the tragedy happened on his bus. Bradley had a trial for this accident. His fiancé was there to support him throughout the trial. Then one day they showed the video tape of what happened on the bus. His fiancée was furious when she saw what happened. She knew that Bradley went to self-defense classes, and he was working out at the gym every other day. She knew that he was bench pressing 150 pounds and even doing curls with 75 pounds. If he was doing all of that, how can he allow something so terrible to happen on his bus. As soon as they stepped out of the court building, she looked him in the eyes. She said “Bradley you murdered that man. I don’t want nothing to do with you anymore. The wedding is off. We are not a couple anymore. I’m not trying to make a scene out here. Please don’t call me and don’t call my parents.” She walked away from him for about a block. Bradley kept his eyes on her. Then suddenly she turned around and came back to him. Bradley didn’t know whether to smile or to keep a straight face. She said “Here take this ring, I don’t want anything to remind me of you. If I do find anything that will remind me of you, I will mail it to you or burn it.” That was the last time Bradley saw her. Bradley was distraught, he could not believe it. They were together for five years, and they were engaged to be married in six months. He was beyond heartbroken. He did not care about the money that he lost. The love of his life, the one that he knew was his soulmate, had just walked out of his life. She didn’t give him a chance to explain. Bradley wanted to go somewhere and cry. Instead, he put the ring in his pocket, and sat on the courthouse steps. He knew that she was serious, he bowed his head, covered his face, and began to cry. Present Day Bradley said, “Philip would you please pray for me. I am feeling very tensed and nervous about all this that is going on.” Philip begins to pray for Bradley. Earlier that night, Karla and Jennifer said that they will stay in the hotel until the morning. Karla and Jennifer had called in dinner and dessert. After watching the news and the late-night show, Karla asked Jennifer to pray with her. The ladies joined hands and Karla began to pray. She prayed that her father and sister would not be so worried about her to a point where they would call the police. She prayed that her sister would remember who to call if she got into any trouble. After praying and letting go of Jennifer’s hands, she put her hands together in a praying position and said nothing. She stood like this for several minutes and then began to clap her hands praising the Lord. When Karla was finished, Jennifer asked, “why did you put your hands in a praying position and stood in silence.” Karla smiled at her then said, “I was listening to what my God had to say to me. Prayer is a conversation, so it was my turn to listen to Him.” Jennifer was astonished “Wow, I never thought of it that way. Do you ever hear Him talk back to you?” Karla said, “Yes and when he doesn’t, he speaks to me when I’m sleeping. Most of the time just before I wake up.” The ladies then talked about Catherine before going to bed.
