About the Book

A story about how everyone is special no matter how different. One spring day an evergreen tree enters a forest, he is told in order to stay he must do something special in the fall. Fall arrives and he remains the same unable to do anything special while the rest of the forest changes. The evergreen tree is told he may have to leave but an early winter storm changes everything.

About the Author

About the Author Gena Rainaud was born and raised in Northampton Massachusetts. An elementary school teacher for over 15 years, she now lives with her husband and two children in Belchertown Massachusetts. The story Evergreen was inspired by one of their many trips to Kingfield Maine playing soccer in the shadows of Mount Abraham with her children and husband.
