The Consequences of Not Knowing
This is a story of a young girl who was unprepared for the unfamiliar
people and the unfamiliar circumstances she would face.
She was bought up in a home with Christian morals, where they only
knew love and trust in its purest form. Her upbringing is based on
a True Story. Some NZ Maori families come from the other side of
‘Once were Warriors’
Her parents brought her up to be kind, loving and caring to all people
but never taught her the boundaries of knowing when to say ‘NO’.
Maria is a victim of a sociopath or psychopath. She never knew such
people existed. She was unprepared.
Maria’s parents are also faced with circumstances that are unfamiliar
to them. They do not know what to do about these circumstances they
are faced with either.
They seek help from a society that has people in places that one would
think, would know best, and seek to do the best, but they only know a text book result and will stick to the ‘red tape’ rather than common
sense.
They soon find out that sociopaths are the norm in society.
They find a ‘Justice System,’ where an outcome is better than the
truth.
The whole family is put into unfamiliar ground. The abuse of one
person turns this family’s life upside down.
This book has all the elements of all human emotions. This young girl
experiences a life of tender love and care, and unfamiliar ground with
a psychopath. She becomes a victim to his physical abuse and rape.
She is unprepared for all that Mr Ian Clarke throws at her. He strips
her of her own self worth. Her spirit is taken from her. Killed off by all
the abuse she suffered.
This book is about when opposite ends meet.
This is a MUST READ BOOK. Written in a light hearted manner that
makes easy reading, for all ages.

About the Author
I was born in Levin, New Zealand in 1946. My Parents were Tokawhakaea Graham of Ngati Raukawa ki te Tonga. My mother was Tirawareware Parata of Ngati Toa Rangatira me Te Atiawa. My profession has been in Administration. I am now retired and have a desire to help people, anyway I can. I volunteer my services to a local Charitable Trust. I am a wife and mother of three children and grandmother of five. Seeing my children grow up in this society has been the governing factor for this book and I dedicate this book to my family: My son Morphy (and daughter in law Olivia), my two daughters Hannah and Janina, and five grandchildren, Natasha (and her husband Timi) – Meka - Mercedes - Maapi and Petara and Great Grand Daughter, Ivana. Special thanks to my wonderful husband, Norm, my biggest supporter, and also my sister Hinga Cook for her love and support. May God bless and keep you all in HIS CARE as you face the uncertainties of this world. Last but certainly not least, I dedicate this book in loving memory of my parents Toka & Tira Graham, for their love and the role models they were to us, as parents and grandparents. Ngatai Fay Drage
