About the Author

Tipawadee Emavardhana is a writer, scholar, trainer, associate professor, course designer for cultural appropriate teaching in counseling and study skills. She is of the author and co-author of 5 chapters/books/ in English and 3 research articles published in peer reviewed journals in Thailand. She wrote over 20 academic articles in international and national journals. She was granted scholarships to study abroad since senior high school, master’s and Ph.D. degrees. She earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from University of Missouri-Columbia, USA, M.Psych. (Clinical Psychology), from the Flinders University of South Australia and B.A. (Hons.) (Psychology) from Thammasat University, Thailand. She had been a Columnist for Thai parenting magazine, other magazines and newspaper since 1976 –2013. The author received numerous awards, including 1980 Best translated book for parents award from the National Council on Social Welfare of Thailand, and Outstanding Service from the Viginia Satir Global Network 2014. She is listed in Who’s Who in the World 2015 (32nd Ed.).
