About the Book

In the tropics of far north Queensland green tree frogs usually rule! They can turn up where visitors least expect them but where the locals do, (expect them, that is.) Based on a true-ish story “GURGLE GURGLE SPLASH!” is written from such a tree-frog’s perspective and “I’m Always in a Hurry” from a little, frizzy-haired granddaughter’s point of view. Let’s just have fun with this little tale. Yeah eh, as they say in far north Queensland!

About the Author

Poss Weingarth was born in England just after the dinosaurs died out. She migrated, with her family, to Australia as a little girl and grew up in the beautiful mountains of Wee Jasper in southern NSW. She is married to Geoff and they have three children. Geoff and Poss are short-term missionaries to PNG and the Solomon Islands and now live near Cooktown in far north Queensland. Poss has always loved the rhythm of rhyme but has only recently been encouraged to publish. With six young grandchildren who love reading she has enjoyed time with them on her lap or snuggled up on the couch together. “Kids’ books should be enjoyed and I want them to have lots of fun as they read and this is the reason I love writing just for them.”
