About the Book

The book is a perspective view of the session process that I use during my work as a mentor, with my mentees. The book is also a kind of an instruction manual. Firstly, we have the written version, then also I have done it in a visual way, for people who understand things more easily in visual formats. Secondly, the book acts as a training manual for people new to the mentoring profession, to help them to a better understanding of the relationships between mentor and mentee.

About the Author

John Furphy was born in England, but migrated to Australia as a very young man. Through the early years he worked in various positions in banking and warehousing, where he was able to observe human nature, and gained much insight into the way we behave. After gaining his qualifications in the field of professional counseling, he found that his experience in business was leading him towards mentoring. For the past seven years, John has lived in a very beautiful and scenic area of Victoria, Australia, where he often finds that taking his clients out for coffee is beneficial to building a confident working relationship. John is married, and has two adult sons, and two Labrador dogs. He also enjoys his work as a nature photographer.
