My name is Bethlehem Mekonene.I was born in England, London, St Mary's hospital, my background country is Eritrea. I am 12 years old and live in London. This is my first 'novel' and I have been dreaming of writing since I was small. I also have been annoying my family by countless stories and keep on pestering them by telling them to listen to my made up stories so now is the time to share them with the big, wild world. I spend most of my time writing or studying in my bedroom. I like to work in my bedroom due to the fact it is clean, comfortable and bright environment to work in. It also gives me wild imaginative and creative ideas which boosts my confidence in writing. This book, Sophie and her summer holiday, is dedicated to my family for encouraging me to write.
