About the Book
Autobiographies can be cumbersome. This in a sense is mine. I think in verse and philosophy. After a life of abuse and living through the Rhodesian and Zimbabwean war, I have realised that scars are not always obvious to the naked eye. There is nothing more telling about this author than travelling the paths within, that wind through this book. The poetry and articles written are a reflection of Me, Myself and My Shadows. Poetry was never meant to have hidden meaning, it should come from the heart and conception of the writers, giving insight into the windows of the souls of others. Take a walk with me, share my tears, love and laughter, come and visit my world.
About the Author
I have dedicated this book to the invisible illnesses in my life. Very little is known of fibromyalgia (fibro) it is treated as hypochondria by the very people we need support from, our doctors, our families and friends. Research has been slow in recognising the need to find root causes and help for fibro. Emotional traumatic scars and memories we all carry within us cannot be seen externally. Nevertheless they are there and cause pain. One of the most difficult illness to live with being fibromyalgia. A fibro sufferer may look totally healthy to the outsider. Most times it's because we have learnt to hide our pain and distress from the disbelief and ridicule of others This exhausting and chronically painful disease strikes at random, at nerves, muscles, sensations, bones and mental health. Nerve messages are sent erroneously through the body. What works today may not work tomorrow.
