A Shadow’s Heart

About the Book

The name of the book is A Shadow’s Heart (An Effect of Emotion as the subtitle). The poems were inspired by life difficulties and challenges, and a few were inspired by the things I love and heartbreaking moments. Some of the interesting collections of my poetry are ‘Beautiful, Blue, and Black, It was long time ago’. A poem freaked that people out is Lost life. A poem that teens will really enjoy is ‘Childish Mistakes’. This book contains a variety of poems that most people might relate to and enjoy.

About the Author

My name is Marleina Matsinhe. I was born in Mozambique in the capital city of Maputo in year 1991. My family immigrated while I was a child to South Africa in the city of Johannesburg. I always loved reading poetry and story books. At the age of 11, I realized that I have an amazing talent. I write my poetry through inspiration and life experiences. My very first inspiration was the colour yellow. The love for poetry kept me growing with fascinating ideas and poetry made me who I am today!
