About the Author

Dorothy Haynes, a native Floridian, was born in Lakeland, but lives in Fort Pierce. She is the writer of numerous special occasion dramas, speeches and recitations for children. She also writes on many subject matters as she helps students with their school and community composition projects. Ms. Haynes has been a youth group supervisor for thirty-five years. She studied education at Bethune-Cookman College, managed the Chronicle Newspaper and published the Florida Mirror Magazine. My Dad Told Me So is her first published book.
