About the Book

The manuscript is a narrative concerning the techniques, activities and emotional attachments needed to fulfill the role of an aunt to family, and marriage related children and adults. The book is about my personal experiences dealing with family issues, emotions and my desire to assist nieces and nephews become successful adults through my interaction with them. My narrative also includes personal events both positive and negative and my attempts to help them through these difficulties. I have also included 100 ways that aunts can utilize to keep personal and emotional communication with nieces and nephews. This list can be used as a reference when emotional issues arise in families. The list is also useful to assist aunts when all other techniques have failed to achieve success. I believe my book has the potential to succeed. Today, with everyone in our society concerned with the economy, jobs, family, local and national problems my book can be used as a reference. Many aunts do not realize the impact they can have on the success of nieces and nephews. An interest shown by an aunt when parents are busy working and achieving can help build positive attitudes to themselves and others. I sincerely believe that my book will be a benefit to families and help aunts achieve their role as dedicated and involved family members.

About the Author

I am currently a self-employed hairstylist in the city of Downey, California. I grew up being the youngest of five, one brother and three sisters. I have always had strong emotional attachments to my brother and sisters. As my siblings got married and had children I developed a special bond between my nieces and nephews. Growing up, I enjoyed babysitting and caring for all my nieces and nephews. I am currently married but have no children. I enjoy spending holidays surrounded by my family, nieces and nephews and now my great nieces and nephews. My life as an aunt has been a treasured experienced. I take my title of aunt very seriously and strive to be an active influence in my nieces and nephews lives.
