About the Book

The Black Sister is a novel about political intrigue involving a coup d’état by government ministers, secret funding to create terrorist organizations, the activities of MI5, the British Secret Service, military raids for arms, and organized pogroms fueled by eight hundred years of conflict fought by the sons of settlers and the sons of the dispossessed. The book describes the traumatic political and military events in Ireland during 1969 and 1970. The first words of The Black Sister were written in Africa and later in United States and Europe.

About the Author

Patrick O’Sullivan has always been interested in Irish, French, and American history and is, according to his friends, a great storyteller. Patrick’s ambition to be a history teacher never happened, and somehow he ended up working in Silicon Valley, California. The Black Sister represents Patrick’s storytelling style and his ability of connecting the rich social and sometimes violent political bridges between Europe and America. Patrick and his family were born in Ireland, and all now live in the United States.
