About the Book

My name is Crystal Davis. I have recently become a single mother of two wonderful sons – Rashad and Cryshon Davis. I am a special educator, earning my degree from Lander University. I began writing poems as a relaxation method when Rashad is in the hospital, which is quite often. I have a genuine love of children especially those with special needs, so some of my poems reflect the voices of those who cannot speak for themselves. My book School Rhymes expresses some feelings and situations children of all ages experience in the school setting. I hope it will inspire children to turn to writing as a means of expressing their feelings; instead of, turning to violence. Ramblings from My Heart is geared towards teens and young adults. It depicts issues involving relationships with friends and those who may become your significant other. Love can be a beautiful thing, but it is often times a time of confusion especially for our teenagers. I hope my book will encourage them to search inside themselves to discover how they are feeling, what they need to be happy and to learn to be true to themselves first then try to please someone else. I hope you enjoy reading my books and learn how to enjoy and improve the situations in which you may find yourself.
