I was raised in Canton, Ohio to wonderful parents. I graduated from Lehman High School in 1941. I was always interested in sports and very active in swimming. After graduating from High School I went to Kent State University to prepare for teaching swimming and other sports. My courses in Physical Education I enjoyed but then the World War II was in effect and one had to think of gas rations and help to do in other fields. I went to Aultman Hospital and took a course to help there. I graduated from that after four months and gave over 400 hours of volunteer work at the hospital. After the war I went back to Kent and took many courses in teaching all aspects of swimming to handicapped individuals. In 1961 started classes for Cerebral Palsy children. I held classes at the K of C pool in Canton and worked under the direction of the United Fund Agency as a volunteer for three years. My father and husband owned “Precision Office Machines Co” at that location I opened a gift shop called “The Happi Shop”. That was very successful. Named after the Happi Coats of Japan. A Cub Scout den mother for 3 years Received Red Cross Award for 30 years of volunteer service Worked several years for Dr. JJ. Pagano as surgeon Raised three children, all married Life Guard at two church camps during summer months Two years corresponding secretary Miss gold Nugget Pageant Volunteer at the Desert Caballeros Western Museum Graduated from two Aquatic schools Hired at the Y.W.C.A. to teach swimming and sports for 19 years Married 48 years to a great husband John G. Morgan Widowed in 1988 and remarried in 1996 to Bob Landoll
