About the Book

Mary Elizabeth Grange was a golden child. She was beautiful and treasured by her parents who could have no other children. In the late 1970's, her life in Florida seemed idyllic, with friends and school and a loving family, her fifteen year old world was complete. She was beginning to mature, like the beautiful rose that her father compared her to, and nothing could go wrong. Then he saw her....walking home from his hateful job. She caught his eye...and he was mesmerized. His fascination escalated into obsession as he spiraled downward into the hell that had gripped his mind until one night the unthinkable happened when he stepped from his fantasy and made her part of it. She survived that terrible night and after years of trying to put her life back to normal, in Canada, she receives a single red rose...from a secret admirer. Her life again spirals out of control as others come and she discovers that the gifts coincide with the horrific murders of the Ego Maniac, a serial killer in Florida, who is killing girls who look so much like her, they could be her sisters. Now she has to face the biggest challenge of her life...To find the killer before he makes her his final prize.

About the Author

J.M.Brown was born and raised in eastern Canada, where she still resides. She is a Registered Nurse and has worked in the psychiatric fields. She has an unquenchable thirst for the complexities of the mind. She lives in the country, where the quiet solitude plays witness to the characters she has created along with the horror and pain they have to endure and hopefully overcome. Her second love has always been writing. Her first being her husband of twenty-three years and their two grown daughters.
