About the Author
The Author, Allen C. Dexter, in his late teens, became caught up in semi-cultic religion and spent nearly half his adult life embroiled in the turbulent atmosphere surrounding such sects. This “true believer” experience has given him great insight into what actually goes on in such religious organizations. From a ranch in North Dakota, to college in California, a short stint as ministerial assistant in New York City, back to California and on to Phoenix, Arizona, the author has lived a life of dramatic changes and adventure. The author holds a bachelors degree in theology and language from Ambassador College and completed several graduate courses toward a masters degree. After leaving the sect, he became a successful independent businessman in California and Arizona. He looks back on his seventy-plus years of experiences and shares the insight he has gained.
