About the Book
Jim Sloan is a seasoned newspaperman, who takes a chance to start a daily rag in a town of 5,000 southern Ohio residents. Through no fault of his own, the newspaper fails, hurtling the managing editor into the ranks of the unemployed. His options limited, the handsome Sloan takes a position as juvenile probation officer with a judge, both of whom know little about the handling of wayward youth. Together, they face day-to-day challenges in re-directing kids, whose parents are often out of control themselves. With his marriage on the rocks, Sloan flirts with a number of relationships before he finds one female who satisfies more than his sexual desires.
