About the Book
“Butterflies of Love” are a compilation of love poems written by the author during her teenage years. These poems reflect her intimate feelings on life, love, family and friends. Her thoughts and heartaches about her relationships put into writing. Her last poem “Life” was written just before her passing. Jessica was very fond of butterflies during her lifetime. Thus, the butterflies symbolize the author’s life going into another dimension upon her untimely death.
About the Author
Jessica Christine Garcia was born on Christmas Eve in Lawrence, Massachusetts. From 1991 through 1997 she attended Marsh Elementary in Methuen, Massachusetts. Her passion as a child was to be a gymnast. She studied on gymnastics at Merrimack Valley Gymnastics located in Methuen, Massachusetts. In 1997, we relocated to Orlando, Florida where she attended McCoy Elementary, Discovery Middle School, University High School and Colonial High School. She graduated from Colonial High School on May 19, 2005. She attended Faith Assembly Church in Orlando, Florida. Jessie was a very playful and happy child during her childhood years. During her teenage years she began composing poems of love. Her poems express the inner thoughts and feelings of young teenage girls. Her aspirations were to be a gymnast, singer and poet Jessica passed away on September 5, 2005 in a tragic car accident. Her mother wanted her dreams to be fulfilled in becoming a writer and author of poetry. These hand-written poems were compiled into this book for anyone that has loved and lost in life. I dedicate this book to my beloved daughter Jessie, whose memory I will cherish for the rest of my life.
