"Indian Summer" by Linn Bailey reflects the cross culture existence in today´s world. Lack of understanding breeds denouncement and the beauty of truths is denied to apathy.

This is a very interesting story that sends sparks to open ourselves to the magic of crossing the bridge to that which is beyond. Indian Summer is a learning adventure in reading. A must read for Native Americans and people of all cultures. Lynn Lossiah, author Cherokee Little People

Linn Bailey has written a beautiful book about the fullness of life -- and death -- and the respect for life in all things. One comes away from reading her book with a renewed sense of wonder and reverence for the Journey of life. This is an inspirational, affirmative, uplifting novel.

--Judith Coates, author “Jeshua The Personal Christ", Vol. I, II, III

Indian Summer by Linn Bailey: Mannie is indeed a worthwhile subject for a novel. Your novel has given me insight into native ceremonies like the sweat lodge. These American Indian ceremonies you describe so well invite people to go fearlessly inward to find their true path to Truth. Toby (aka Lone Rock), who represents us all, experiences his oneness with Spirit and acknowledges his life´s purpose. His transformation, from an uncertain man to one who finally understands who he is, speaks to all people who yearn for certainty of their purpose in this lifetime.

Stories like the mosquito were endearing and lovely. Wakan-Tanka became, in your hands, a wonderful and beautiful reality in the creation story and in the assurance of our communication with spirits. I enjoyed Wakan-Tanka making stew and eating, and like the children in your book, I laughed to think of God in this way. Jean K. Foster, author God-Mind series of books

Indian Summer is a story about an old Indian woman who has a unique way of understanding life. Mannie had a respect for all life and endeavored to pass this respect on to everyone who came in contact with her. Mannie could charm you to the highest mountain, or enrage you to the depths of your soul.

This book represents a life-time achievement of Linn Bailey and her dedication to helping others through story telling. Filled with Folklore and rural wisdom, her story places great value on living life simply--even after winning the lottery. For me, the story of "snake and mosquito" alone are worth the read. This is a book of wisdom and folklore that children of all ages will want to read and then put into place in their everyday lives. We need more books with good intentions and no pretensions.

Ruth Lee, author of "Within the Veil: An Adventure in Time"
