About the Book
Some people would call it coincidence. Some insist on thinking of it as fate. Whatever you call it or however you explain it there are times when there is no room for doubt that there was a master plan at work that brought together people and events in just the right time and just the right way to accomplish something truly wonderful.
This is a story of some ordinary people who are called on to do the extraordinary. People who have never met, never knowing of each other’s existence find their lives unwillingly linked together, depending on total strangers for their very lives.
A middle aged man trying to go on with life after losing his spouse encounters hatred so vicious that he is forced to leave behind everything he posesses from a lifetime of living and working, even his own identity, just to stay alive. Establishing a new life and a new identity he is challenged to use all his craftiness and all the skills learned in a lifetime to provide shelter, support himself, and find meaning in life.
A disillusioned young widow, in a backward country trying to make sense out of a faith she has never really understood or accepted for herself suddenly looses nearly everything she holds dear. She is forced to fight desperately for what little remains of her family. Searching for hope for the life of her child, she comes face to face with the Truth that has eluded her all her life. In losing nearly everything she finds herself gaining something of infinitely greater value.
A retired military officer finds himself in possession of information capable of bringing a "dead man" back to life. An even greater miracle is that in doing so he can save the life of a dying child. He is challenged to use his knowledge of computer hardware and all of his cognitive skills to become a high-tech sleuth.
All are linked together by a force greater than any of them realizes until the face of the tangled mess of threads and knots that their lives have become is revealed in the end to be a beautiful tapestry woven by the Master Artist.
Violent highway accidents, mechanical failures, fatal diseases, human weakness, are strangers to none of us. These are the villains of this story. And the heroes? They are ordinary honest God-fearing people who just do the right thing. But when honest good-hearted people are part of the Master’s plan, they become much, much larger than life. Enjoy!
