About the Book

Sarah, a truck driver, is an independent, free-spirited woman who has spent a lifetime alone. One day in early September, while on vacation, she drives into Talkeetna, Alaska and comes face to face with her future.

With grace and humor, Sarah embraces a lifestyle she has always shunned and finds the ability to accept in herself those things she spent years running from.

‘Shadows Of The Mountain’ is an inspirational heart warming story about courage, commitment, sacrifice and self discovery. It is about letting go of the past and living for the future.

About the Author

Having read more negative stories about truck drivers than positive ones, Julie decided it was time to write a book beneficial to the industries image. "If we're not willing to take a stand and become the solution then we remain part of the problem." It was for this reason, Shadows Of The Mountain was written. We hope, with the reading of this book, that a greater understanding towards the trucking industry, is acheived. Julie has driven a semi for ten years and continues to drive today. When she's not on the truck, she lives with her husband and a multitude of cats in South Central Wisconsin.
