About the Book
FISH OF DREAMS – More Field Notes of a Wildlife Psychologist (sequel to WILD BIRDS – Field Notes of a Wildlife Psychologist) is a gallery of one hundred black and white drawings of imaginary fish. Elegant in its simplicity and invention, every drawing is accompanied by a poetic meditation that turns into a psychological lesson about life which each fish has to teach. Written and illustrated by author, graphic artist, and psychologist Carl Pickhardt, the book becomes a field guide to human nature that both pleases the eye and provokes the mind to thought.
