Born 1920 to British Army parents enroute from England to India. First language Hindustani (from my Ahya). Returned to London, England 1924. Education interrupted by enlistment in RAF as pilot in 1940. Returned to “Civvy Street” 1946 with a wife and two sons to support. Government Grant enabled return to College for degree in Engineering and Graduateship of Royal Aeronautical Society. Employed 1949-1957, by various engineering assignments. Eventually became a Customer Support Representative, stationed with numerous airlines, world wide. Retired in 1984. Enjoys writing for recreation. This is the first attempt at a “first person story”. Spawned by the realization of the growing disparity between the numbers of single males and females. As their age increases.
