About the Book

Powered Parachute Zone is a Coffee Table Picture Book about flying from farmer's fields. It is written for everyone who likes to see Americans having fun without hurting the environment. No destroying the grass or cutting into the soil.

The book is a working sketch book designed to be given as a gift from the powered parachute pilot to the owner of land where he/she wants to fly from. It can also be used by anyone wanting to know what those colorful parachutes are doing and how they are doing it. The book has a copy of Release and Discharge of Liability that the pilot may give to a land owner. IT'S ALL ABOUT BEING FREE.

It has notes on Flying Safety and a page on sample Rules and Traffic Pattern. There is an Annual Inspection and Preflight check list on page 17. For pilots who have a radio and to anyone who wants to understand what the pilots are talking about there is a list of Definitions. For those Flying Clubs who want to build a Tetrahedron to help control traffic there is a drawing and a picture of one built by the Sky Spiders.

It can be used by sheriff's deputies, law enforcement officers, rescue workers, and firemen wanting to learn what powered parachutes are and how they operate. Flying clubs may give it to school children and especially to home owners living near where they are flying. The book helps in winning friends for the powered parachute pilots. WHen you are a Powered Parachute pilot flying around on a weekend, being free from the bonds of the earth, it feels good knowing you have friends. IT'S ALL ABOUT BEING AN AMERICAN AND BEING FREE.

The young men and women who fly are really learning what freedom and being an American is all about. Some pilots are not so young either. This is not a sport where you have to compete against each other. We are still a tough people and some are still trying to find ways of showing that they are better than another but in truth it just makes us better pilots. When you are floating under your parachute it's just you and God looking down upon the green earth. IT'S GREAT TO BE AN AMERICAN.
