About the Author
DAVID ARTURI is a US Navy veteran and a radio-electronics officer with more than 43 years at sea in the US Merchant Marine. From these global travels he fashions a fictional radio operator, Ken Mason, who shares with the reader the vast and fascinating amount of knowledge he accumulated during his voyages to over 100 countries and places. The composite wartime experience of this seafarer and ship--Ken Mason and SS Orion Victory--are chronicled in the prequel to this novel which is titled They Go To Sea, also available on Xlibris.com web site. He lives a busy, literary, and sometimes quiet life today with his wife Jenny in Ocala, Florida.
