About the Author

Turhan Shabazz is a soft-spoken powerhouse of poetic wisdom. His life is reflected through poetry as street basketball is played. No other poet speaks rhythmically about the American inner city a does Turhan Shabazz. He\advises, cajoles, teaches and loves his blackenised reflections. He calls my radio show each Sunday with words that both inspire and amaze both the audience and me. He always moves in the spirit. I am blessed to know him Turhan Shabazzc currently works at the Kingsley Association House of the Selma Burke Art Gallery in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
