About the Book
KHALIL THE INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR Khalil is a young Palestinian boy born to Palestinian parents in the slums of a Lebanese refugee camp. Orphaned early in life, he drifts toward the Hezbollah and is trained to be a terrorist. He learns to hate, fight and kill, especially Jews. He considers Israel the roots of all evil. At age twelve, seeking independence, he infiltrates Israel and joins a kibbutz. Pretending to become an Israeli, he mingles with the kibbutznicks learning to speak fluent Hebrew. At age thirteen, he leaves the settlement and makes his way to Haifa, a port city. Using his guile, he signs on to a merchant ship leaving for Marseille, France. Once in France, he jumps ship and sets out on his own. He winds up in the Arab section of the city and looks for trouble. Tall, strong and good with his fists, knives and guns, he soon gains the reputation of being tough and obtains a contract to kill a fellow Arab in Paris. He enjoys the feel of the kill and the money he receives in payment. He moves to Paris and, taking advantage of his knowledge of Hebrew, settles in the Jewish section. He makes contact with Massad as well as the Hezbollah. With false passports and assumed names and religions, he penetrates both the Jewish as well as the Arab camps accepting contracts to kill for both. * BELOVED ENEMY The daughter of the former English Ambassador to Nazi Germany, raised in Germany but hating the country, returns as a trained spy. She lands the job as the secretary to a high-ranked influential Nazi general. The general falls in love with her, seduces her, and gets her pregnant. She feels pressured to marry him. Before their marriage she is a very successful mole for the British and her importance grows after she becomes the general’s wife. After the birth of their child, it is rumored that the general might replace Hitler as head of state and his wife, the British spy, tries desperately to be repatriated to England. She plans her departure but must undertake an important, dangerous mission before she and her baby return to England. * BERLIN Major McLean, head of British Intelligence in Berlin, hires a German woman to replace his present, inefficient secretary. An arguably thorough background-check on her finds her to be impeccably “clean”. Coincidentally, the major falls in love with his new secretary. The head of American Intelligence advises Major McLean of the possibility that a Russian mole might have penetrated his department. When McLean is presented with proof, all hell brakes loose ending with an unexpected, shocking exposé. * TAIPEI Doing business in Taiwan presents hurdles, and Biff Mullen is no stranger to set-backs. This is why he has hired a local representative for his company. A newly founded, Taiwanese export company contacts Biff and insists on meeting him. This company seemingly has grown very important in a short period of time and has apparently gained the representation of most European importers. Upon the advice of his agent, Biff Mullen agrees to a dinner-meeting with them. In the aftermath of this meeting, Biff is being blackmailed. He is pressured to fire his agent naming the new company as his firm’s exclusive agent. Failure to meet with their demands would probably cost him his job as well as his marriage. Biff decides to fight back by outsmarting his opponents. * BUSINESS IN TOKYO On an important business trip to Japan, Salvatore Salvino, having dinner with his client, loses his way back to his hotel. Stopping in a small restaurant for directions, he wakes up the ne
