About the Book

A cycle of 52 sonnets, arranged to take the reader through the seasons as the author experiences them in Warren, Pennsylvania, where he lives and works as a freelance technical translator of German. The author is the grand prize winner of the 2006 Four County Poetry Competition sponsored by Jamestown Community College of Jamestown, New York. He is a novice gardener and amateur musician and has had a lifelong interest in the life and works of Goethe, even though the author of Faust wrote only seventeen sonnets.
