The Smelly Man

About the Book

Zip Collins is a thief but when he breaks into Faith Roberts house he comes out with a different point of view. Determined to change direction he obtains a job in a Salvage Yard where his duties include hauling trash to the local landfill.

He’s happy when his boss’s new partner Burton Miller loads the dump-truck for him on two occasions leaving him with only the duty of taking the rubbish to the landfill and dumping it. However, when a body is found in the landfill a day later, Zip starts to suspect that maybe he was set up to dump that body.

Anxious to keep his job, concerned that he’ll take the fall if he reports his suspicions, Zip panics. He tells his new friend about his suspicions, entangling her in the web of conspiracy he suspects his employers of. Are his suspicions real or has he let his imagination get the better of him. One thing is for sure, two men are missing and one was found dead in the landfill where he had just dumped a load of trash.

About the Author

Saundra Crum Akers lives in Columbus, Ohio but has roots in Southern Ohio and family and friends living in Washington Court House, Ohio. She has been writing full time since 2005 and is the author of five other novels. These are: Fear Treads the Mountain set in Wisconsin Tempest Rider set in Peebles, Ohio Spooked set in Waverly, Ohio The Smelly Man set in Bainbridge, Ohio Guilty set in Circleville, Ohio She is currently contemplating a ghost mystery novel which will be set in Greenfield, Ohio which has tentatively been entitled, The Slow Thinking Ghost.
