At eleven years of age, a young girl was diagnosed with a very rare and terminal brain tumor. After undergoing forty-six days of radiation treatments and three months of chemotherapy, her parents brought her home because they feared that if she proceeded with her treatments, she would die. She went home weighing only eighty-eight pounds and still battling to keep her health from failing. By some miracle, she made it through her five years of remission. A year and six months later, however, she was diagnosed again with cancer. At the age of eight-teen, this young woman lost her uterus to cancer. Her treatment this time was forty-eight weeks of chemotherapy. Happily, she made it through unscaved. She, again, made it through another five years of remission and is now twenty-six years old and living her life to the fullest. This young woman’s name is Carrianne DiAngelis. Hi my name is Carrianne DiAngelis and these are the stories and poems I have written. Some are based on actual happenings and some are just for fun. I enjoy sharing my experiences in life through my writing. I like to be the story teller and have my readers see and feel my stories and poems come to life. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I have enjoyed writing them.
