About the Book

This heartwarming, inspiring true story is based at a primary school in South Africa. The story centers on the life experiences of Lucas at this school. Lucas finds comfort and expresses great joy in the company of geese and finds difficulty in forming human relationships. But that all changes when teachers find it in their hearts to do the right thing. About the Author

Zaf Khan, EdD, is a highly acclaimed professional speaker and educator. His passion and enthusiasm for innovative educational practices and its impact on student achievement, combined with his talent as a motivational keynote speaker, leave audiences inspired and wanting to hear more. His many years of experience in working extensively with children of all ages, especially children with learning difficulties both in the United States and in South Africa, brings a new flavor to the business of education and offers a breath of fresh air to teachers in helping challenging students such as Lucas succeed. Dr. Khan is currently serving as assistant professor in the Department of Elementary and Special Education at Middle Tennessee State University, where he continues teaching both graduate and undergraduate courses.
