About the Book

The number-system, also used by professional studio and stage musicians throughout the world, is the simplest approach to learning how to play the piano (applicable to ALL instruments) on earth! Now it’s here to share with everyone! Ever wondered how some people can sit down at a piano and play without having the sheet music or song book in front of them? Guess most folks think the chords and notes were memorized by the player. In some cases they were. But in truth, most simply know the basic mechanics and formulas that created music. Some people think of these musicians as able to “play by ear”, which is actually fairly accurate, however, there is a method to it. By putting about an hour a day just 2-3 days a week, into studying the “Formulas” taught in this book and practicing them, in a few months or less, depending on your ambition, you’ll be playing songs on your own with or without the sheet music. Whether you want to start a band, perform music for a living, write songs, or just play the piano that’s in your house gathering dust, you’ll be amazed at how easy and fun getting started can be!

About the Author

Paula J. Tuttle was born on the west side of Cleveland, Ohio in 1950. She became a songwriter in her early 20’s and made a steady, full-time living performing in restaurants, hotel chains and occasionally in concert for Cleveland radio station events. From the early 1970’s until 1990 going by the alias “Paula (P.C.) Douglas”, Paula performed mostly country and pop music early-on as a solo artist, and many years as lead-singer and keyboard player in bands from Cleveland to Hawaii. Working with and knowing professional studio players in Los Angeles, Nashville and New York City, she picked up this ‘number-system’ of playing and communicating music from the pros, a ’secret’ method to simplify it all which is now available to everyone! Paula retired from music in 1991, and now lives in northern New Mexico. She now enjoys her love of horses, parrots, (actually all animals & and nature) and writing. Still sings and plays her piano and guitar for family & friends. The love of music never fades away.
