About the Author

The author was the youngest of eight children, was born with the rickets, couldn’t hold his head up off his shoulder until he was a year old, and couldn’t walk until he was2 years old but somehow managed to survive. After he was born his bassinette was a box in which fish had been shipped to a butcher shop in Three Forks, Montana. His father was a share-cropper so half of the hay and 1/3 of the grain went to the landlord for rent, however they managed to survive. After graduation from high school he spent a tour in the Navy, worked in engine service for the Milwaukee Railroad until they went broke, 5 years with the Montana Power Company, 4 years in Eastern Turkey up next to the Russian border, 4 years building missile sites in Europe, 2 years with Lockheed Aircraft as a buyer until Rolls Royce made a call one day informing them that they were filing bankruptcy and couldn’t build the engines for the L-1011 airplane. 12,000 got laid off in one day, one was the author. After that he spent most of his working career that was left running his own refrigeration and A/C Company. At the book writing he is 81 years old and is still here.
