About the Book

Greetings From Heaven: Wish You Were Here is a novel telling the wonderful story of life after death for Christians. It begins with a college student and promising author named David who dies tragically in a car accident just two days before Christmas. Immediately he meets two strangers, who introduce themselves as Jonathan and Daniel, and explain that they are his guardian angels who have been watching over David from the moment he was born. They lift him skyward and fly him towards the direction of Heaven. David learns from them the location of Heaven as well as the ancient clues from the Bible which confirm this and confirm all the other wonderful things he is about to see. The spectacular view of Heaven as the angels approach it with David is awe-inspiring. Shortly David joins a group of newly arrived believers as they are each individually “welcomed home” by both Jesus and God the Father. David and his group enter into the pearly gates, walk upon the glowing streets of gold, eat from the Tree of Life and drink from the River of Life. They quickly learn the true meaning of the Bible verse “they shall mount up with wings like eagles” and shortly arrive at each of their individual mansions where they re-unite with their dearly departed Christian loved ones. Later on they worship Christ together with hundreds of millions of Christians in the center of Heaven. David and the other newly arrived believers are then special guests of honor at the Wedding Feast where they get to personally spend time with Christ and eat with Him. Finally, David celebrates Christmas in Heaven by both attending and actually participating in a perfect recreation of the birth of Christ played by all of the original participants, including Mary, Joseph, the original angels and shepherds, and where Jesus himself plays the Christ child. Meanwhile, it is Christmas on earth and David’s grieving family wishes they could hear from him just one more time and find some answers about what happened to him. They open up David’s Christmas present to them and realize that it is the manuscript from David’s first and only book he will ever write. The title, Greetings From Heaven: Wish You Were Here, brings them to tears. But they are amazed when they begin reading and recognize that only weeks earlier, David had prophetically written about the car accident and his trip to heaven. Then they realize that they have truly heard from David one last time and that David is indeed safe and happy in his eternal home in Heaven with Jesus.

About the Author

David King has been a practicing Christian physician in North Carolina for the last twenty years. He is an avid Bible reader and attempts to incorporate his Christian faith into his practice of medicine whenever it is appropriate. He cares for the spiritual as well as the physical needs of his patients and not uncommonly talks with them about Christ or the Bible and how lessons from the Bible can apply to many of the problems we face today as individuals or as a society. He has written three books about the Bible, two of which are published.
