About the Book
Timmy, The Tilapia is a story about a fresh water fish who was bred in an insignificantly small pond owned by a farmer named Mr. Joe. As Timmy grew up his dreams began to grow also, and he thought to himself that the pond is too small for him and that the open sea is a place that is big enough with opportunities to help him accomplish his dreams. So, in order to fulfill his desire to be somebody of importance he left his home, the small pond, his family and his friends, and made his way to the open sea only to reach there and realize that he did not belong there. Timmy, like the other fishes in the pond were given human characters. He represents the typical life of a young person who desires greatness but believes that he had to be in a certain place and time to accomplish this. Sometimes in life we make the wrong decisions when we try to change who we are and change our position to be in somebody else's world, only to realize that there is not where we were created to be. However, I believe that we can still dream big and accomplish great things just at the place where we are at even though it may not be popular.
