About the Author
Robert Parucha has spent several years traveling to Ensenada,
Mexico working in an apparel factory and becomes enamored
with the rustic beauty of this part of the world. After careful
investigation Bob concludes that building a dream home in
this beautiful environment is a goal worth pursuing. He hires
a Mexican contractor, Arturo, aka “The Maestro” to plan and
build the home. In the two years it takes to build the residencia
Bob is forced to adjust to the attitude of manana, patiently
enduring all of the surprises and pitfalls that come with building
in a foreign country.
A native southern Californian, Robert
earned his MA degree from UC Santa
Barbara in Comparative Religions where
he also played collegiate volleyball for the
Gauchos. After competing for several
years in beach volleyball tournaments,
Robert worked as a fashion model in
Europe. His acting career was launched
when he played Matt Miller on The Young
and the Restless, subsequently guest starring
on several television shows. He now resides
in the south bay near Los Angeles with his wife Jenny and their
three children, Trevor, Katie and Robert.
