About the Author

As a child growing up during the Great Depression, I had the good fortune to be blessed with an impish little Mother, who was full of fun and games. She made sure that we children didn’t realize how poor we were. I believe whatever talent I may have, in writing children’s stories, is due to my Mother’s influence during my own childhood. I have been married to my best friend, Irvin Banks Gordon for sixty-two years and together we have enjoyed raising seven children. I enjoy the challenge of creating rhyming couplet that make some sort of sense and a number of my stories reflect that. I hope that children find the measure of pleasure in my stories as I do in creating them.
