About the Author
My entire life has been with the arts. As a child, I was enrolled at the Rochester Memorial Art Gallery. I attended a technical institution high school, and my class’s occupational subject was commercial art, and I illustrated the senior yearbook, earning the nickname Michelangelo by my classmates. Throughout my school years, I endured dyslexia (a learning disorder) in which I struggled with reading, and it was sad that such a disorder was not diagnosed or understood then, but through it all, somehow I managed. I always had a flair for writing, but I never wrote to be published. Since college of the arts and to work as a freelance artist, my creativity has always been with me and continues to this day. After serving as a US Marine, I was mostly self-employed. School buses have always intrigued me. So one day, I applied for the position to drive a bus and became a part-time substitute driver. Timewise, the position fit in nicely with my business. Driving the bus was a joy for seventeen years . . . I loved it. So my creativity and the desire to write, and plus the gift treasures of being with students inspired me to write this book.
