About the Book

Millions of people around the world and across nations are victims of the lives they lived or are living. Lack of understanding life is a disease worse than any other. Many of us do not know life itself has a life of its own. But the truth is, it does. If life wasn’t alive none of us will be here to even have the thoughts we’re having at this present moment. Everything we do as living things falls under some aspect of life. Some of these aspects are life, love, and the mind’s eye. These aspects bring forth various teachings and also take us through different stages in life. With these stages comes the understanding of life, knowing how to live and also the application of what we learn from these aspects to the lives we live. Life’s Passion, a collection of poems, doesn’t simply give you an understanding of life and its branches; it successfully does what all literary works were meant to do: provoke thought, evoke emotions, and promote dialogue.

About the Author

A native of West Africa, Kabiru Mohammed was born on February 12th, 1978. As a young boy, he was often shy and reserved which led him to contemplate on many things. Searching for an outlet to express his thoughts and emotions, Kabiru turned to writing which eventually evolved into a secret passion. Soccer is his first love, and he dreamed of becoming a famous soccer player. Whenever anyone needed to find him, they knew exactly where to look—on the field. While playing for various club teams, Kabiru even won a few championships. In 1995, Kabiru and his family moved to America. There, he resided in New York, where he attended school and was part of the two-time regional champion soccer team. When his dream of becoming a famous soccer star didn’t come true, the would-be athlete turned to his third love, writing. (In case you were wondering, his second love is cooking.) Kabiru was encouraged by various teachers and professors to pursue a career in writing, but it took this young writer years to finally commit.
