My Music Program offers parents and teachers of young children countless ways of incorporating music into the lives of the children in their care, and, the most exciting part is that you do not need to know about music or music theory to use it! The program is teacher and parent friendly and offers all children an opportunity to fully participate, even if they are hesitant or shy. With this highly interactive, energetic program, following directions is just part of the rhythm of the class and children eat it up! This book illustrates a comprehensive teaching method which integrates music with science, art, physical activity, math and literacy. From simple to difficult, the book teaches children through playing games. The program works with colors for teaching purposes, for example, red represents a high sound and yellow represents a low sound. Step by step, children learn how to play musical instruments. Children participate together in a group by holding up cards in response to the teacher's questions. This teaching method can be utilized with special needs children and the program can be used for musical therapy.
