Poems From My Heart

About the Book

This collection of poetry was brought about when the Holy Spirit began working in my heart, right after I accepted Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior, in 1975. He has been working ever since. I would like to express my thanks to everyone who prayed for me and still pray for me and offered words of encouragement. Also I’d like to thank my loving husband Glen, for his faith and belief, that I would one day, ask Jesus into my heart. Also for answering my endless questions until all hours of the morning. We lived in Florida for seventeen years, before moving back home to Ohio. Ten of those years we spent in Prison Ministry. Some of these poems were written about some of the men we ministered to, others came from my own life experiences, and of course from God nudging me to write about them. As I compiled these poems, I kept thinking, “God isn’t finished with me yet.” It is my sincere hope that by reading this poetry, someone somewhere will see the need to ask our Lord Jesus Christ, into their life. The poems are written as the Holy Spirit leads me. It may be a time of sorrow, happiness, wonder, trials or just plain everyday situations that happens that God sees me through. I do pray that the words will touch your heart and bring you a bit of love, comfort, hope and understanding, whatever the need may be. Perhaps you too will write a book with God. Remember, all honor, praise and glory, belong to God.
