About the Book
The Apostle Paul wrote often about the Christian life and in Ephesians six, enumerates the pieces of God’s armor for the protection of God’s followers. The Lord’s Battle shows how Paul drew from his life in the Roman culture and among the Roman soldiers to help us understand and apply what he is saying. Each chapter has an original poem written by the author, history of the Roman soldier in his life, a thought from Scripture, an example of what it means to be a soldier in God’s army, and a prayer.
About the Author
During the time my husband and I homeschooled our two daughters, I wrote articles for Christian magazines and published poetry. As my daughters married and gave us grandchildren, I became intrigued with the Apostle Paul’s picture of the armor of God and his comparison of our lives to soldiers. As I studied the Roman soldier and Paul’s day, a beautiful picture emerged for our own lives. I decided to share this picture that he has drawn for us so that others would have a better understanding of how to live our Christian lives and be protected in spiritual battles.
