About the Book

These mostly heartwarming stories are about ordinary older adults who find someone special to love after being widowed or divorced. The author has attempted to give each story humor and the plots a little unexpected twist or turn. A few “just for fun” stories are included as well as a murder mystery, the words to a song and a “how to” to give the readers more variety.

About the Author

Louise La Jeone’s mother was born in Europe; her father in the Midwest. From each parent she inherited the “reading” gene and over the years has read thousands of books! Having been taught that all honest work was good work, the author has held jobs ranging from motel cleaner to restaurant owner. She lives with her husband-best friend of nearly 30 years in an old Victorian house in Midwest America. Concerned about the discrimination of older people in society, the workplace, advertising, fiction and TV, Mrs. La Jeone has written heartwarming stories about ordinary adults similar to those she grew up knowing and loving.
